On his first day, the team’s new equipment manager was shown the team’s equipment.  He was then shown exactly how the member’s of the team like their equipment to be taken care of.  During practice, equipment can get sweaty and dirty, so it would need to be cleaned and emptied before it was put away.

He was informed that this was to be his job after every practice this season.
